Dear Parents, 

Each year the Elementary students at Dodd City ISD participate in a program called Accelerated Reader.  This program is a computer-based reading management program.  This program is designed to hep each student read at their own pace and level of ability and provides motivation to read im a variety of ways.  The test itself is one motivator as well as being able to use the Chromebook or iPad.  Students become self motivated by their individual progress.

Students who love to read excel in every area of school work.  The most important gift you can give your child is the gift of reading.  Parents are key motivators and essential for success of this program.  Please encourage your child to read daily.

Together we can get your child to read more and develop a lifelong love of reading!
