District rivals Ector, DC to meet again in softball playoffs

For the fourth consecutive complete softball season, either Ector or Dodd City will play in the Region II-1A Final.

The District 15-2A rivals will clash in a regional semifinals best-of-three series later this week at Bonham High School.

Game 1 will be Wednesday at 6:30 p.m.

Game 2 will occur Friday at 4:30 p.m., with a third game, if necessary, 30 minutes afterward.

The winner will play either Blum or Graford -- for a chance to advance to State.

During the last three complete seasons, the winner of the postseason clashes between the two has eventually reached the Class
1A State Tournament

In 2017 and 2019, Dodd City reached the State semifinals.

In between, Ector advanced to the State championship game.
