The Dodd City Hornets rallied for four runs in the fifth inning and went on to post a three-run win over the Wolfe City Wolves.
Wolfe City jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the top of the first frame.
Dodd City scored a run in the bottom of the second inning and picked up another run in the bottom of the fourth to tie the contest, 2-2.
The Hornets broke open a close game with four runs in the bottom of the fifth to take a 6-2 lead.
Wolfe City picked up a run in the top of the sixth inning.
A scoreless seventh inning gave Dodd City a 6-3 win.
Brayden Vaught worked the mound for six innings to earn the win and Landon Allen pitched a hitless seventh inning for the save.
Herron was tagged with the loss.
Brayden Vaught aided his own cause with a pair of hits and one RBI.
Layton Vaught drove in one run and scored twice.
With the win, the Hornets move to 7-1 on the season and 3-0 in district play.
The Hornets will pay a visit to Cooper on Friday at 6:30 p.m. and then travel to North Hopkins on Saturday for an 11:00 a.m. game.
