No. 1 Dodd City Lady Hornets advance to regional quarterfinals

With the Baccus sisters combining to score 58 points, the No. 1-ranked Dodd City Lady Hornets overpowered Bellevue, 78-20, in the area round.

Dodd City opened the game with a 21-2 run and led 42-10 at the half.

The Lady Hornets built a 61-17 cushion heading into the fourth quarter and cruised to a 58-point win.

Rion Baccus led all scorers with 36 points and Dani Baccus also had an impressive outing with 22 points.

Journie Hilliard scored seven, Kylee Graves finished with five points, Ali Preas put up four points, while Tori Dotson and Braylee Cowan both pitched in two points.

With the victory, Dodd City moves to 27-0 on the year.

The Lady Hornets advance to face the winner of Graford/Sulphur Bluff in the Region II-1A quarterfinals.
