DC's Baccus, Hilliard earn TGCA all-state v'ball props

Dodd City seniors Dani Baccus and Journie Hilliard each garnered a spot on the Texas Girls Coaches Association Class 1A all-state volleyball team for the 2020 season.

Baccus, a Hardin-Simmons women's basketball commit, stepped into the role of being the primary setter for the Lady Hornets who last month made their first regional final appearance in volleyball since 2001. She finished the season with 390 assists and 85 digs.

Meanwhile, Hilliard reprised her role as a hitter and blocker at the net for Dodd City, which made its 26th postseason appearance in the last 31 years. Hilliard had 346 kills and 78 blocks.
