Dodd City Lady Hornets 42, Krum 27

Dodd City, Texas -- And another one bites the dust.

Fresh off a win over Argyle, the No. 4 team in Class 4A, the Dodd City Lady Hornets took on another Class 4A program, the Krum Lady Cats, Tuesday night.

Krum competes in District 7-4A and is currently ranked No. 23 in Class 4A.

Dodd City came into the contest at 4-0 on the year and ranked No. 3 in Class A.

The Lady Hornets had control of the early action and led 14-3 after the first quarter. Krum managed to whittle Dodd City's lead down to 19-10 at the half and 24-19 going into the fourth quarter.

But it was all Dodd City down the stretch, with the Lady Hornets outscoring Krum 18-8 to notch a 42-27 win.

Dodd City senior post Journie Hilliard led all scorers with 18 points and point guard Dani Baccus was also in double digits with 10 points.

Rion Baccus scored seven, Kylee Graves put up three points, with Ali Preas and Lindsey Mauppin tossing in two points apiece.

With the victory, the Lady Hornets improve to 5-0 for the season.

Dodd City will host Sam Rayburn on Friday, December 4.
