Fannin trio set for boys bi-district hoops

Three Fannin County boys basketball teams will be involved in bi-district play.

In Region III-1A, Dodd City will play Sulphur Bluff on Monday at 7:30 p.m. at Paris' Chisum High School.

It equates the fourth-consecutive postseason for Dodd City, which qualified as the District 23-1A runner-up.

Sulphur Bluff advanced as the 24-1A third-place team.

In Region II-2A, Trenton will play No. 1-ranked Martin's Mill on Monday at Greenville High School at 7:30 p.m.

The postseason equates the first for Trenton, the 13-2A fourth-place qualifier, since its 2014 run to the regional quarterfinals

Martin's Mill, which went 34-0 during the regular season and was a state semifinalist in 2019, won 14-2A to qualify for the postseason.

In Region II-3A, Leonard will play
Ponder on Tuesday at Denton Braswell High School at 7 p.m.

Leonard completed a district-play sweep of Whitewright on Feb. 18 to secure 10-3A's third-place berth and a fourth-consecutive postseason trip.

Ponder advanced as the 9-3A runner-up.
