Dodd City, Texas -- Nine Dodd City Hornets got in on the scoring in a 90-22 win over Pioneer Technology & Arts Academy.

The Hornets pumped in 27 points in the opening period and then shut out PTAA in the second quarter to build a 47-4 lead at halftime.

Dodd City went on to outscore PTAA 43-18 during the final two periods to earn a 68-point win.

Zayne Kennon poured in a game-high 22 points, Aaron Munger scored 16, Gunnar Wilson finished with 14 points and Ashton Balvin was also in double figures with 11 points.

Landon Allen knocked down nine points, Brayden Vaught put up eight points, Colton brewer scored six, with Avery Coker and Ayden Balvin both tossing in two points.

With the victory, the Hornets move to 11-1 in District 23-A and this sets up a big game Friday when Dodd City hosts the 11-1 Ector Eagles.
