The Dodd City Cross Country team competed at the 24th Annual Tim Menke Invitational Meet on Thursday, September 5 at North Hopkins. The Varsity Girls team finished 14th overall. Freshman Lindsey Mauppin finished in second place out of 145 runners. The Lady Hornets also had strong performances from Morgan Mills, 72nd place, Carson Morrison, 74th place, Prairie Wild, and Savanah Ford. The boys team only had four runners for this meet so did not qualify as a team, but every runner dropped their time from the previous meet. The Hornets were led by Cole Massie, who finished 81 out of 153 runners. The Hornets also had strong performances from Jason Turner, 87th place, Brody Mauppin, 94th place, and Aaron Munger, 107th place. The runners are working hard and will compete September 12 at Miller Grove.
