Dodd City Lady Hornets down Miller Grove, 3-1 By Allen Rich

Miller Grove, Texas -- Addison Weeks pounded Miller Grove with 21 kills and Gracyn Shindler also had a double-digit performance with 11 kills to propel the Dodd City Lady Hornets to a 3-1 victory on the road.

Dodd City battled to win the first two sets, 25-22 and 25-21, before Miller Grove managed to come out on top, 25-17, in the third set.

The Lady Hornets wrapped up the match with a 25-16 victory in the fourth set.

Emma Garner and Kaleigh McBrayer both slammed down six kills.

Weeks handed out 13 assists, Shindler dished out a dozen assists, Kenzi Freeman and Ralyn Daniel each had six assists and McBrayer finished with five assists.

Weeks came up with 23 digs, followed by Freeman (22 digs), Shindler (17 digs), McBrayer (6 digs) and Daniel (6 digs).

Garner had a team-high five aces and Weeks finished with four aces.

The Lady Hornets will be back in action Thursday at the North Hopkins Volleyball Tournament.
