Dodd City, Texas -- The Dodd City regional qualifiers competed last week at the University of North Texas.

300 M hurdles - Regional Finalist - Ethan Barnard finished 5th overall
Triple Jump - Ethan Barnard regional qualifier
Jaden Mahar regional finalist finished 6th overall
Long Jump - Jaden Mahar regional finalist - finished 6th overall
400 Meter - Matthew Stephens - state qualifier finished 3rd but earned the wild card (time 51.4)
4x100 relay - Ethan Barnard, Nate Van Huss, Jaden Mahar, Matthew Stephens - regional finalist finished 6th overall
4x400 relay - Ethan Barnard, Nate Van Huss, Jaden Mahar, Matthew Stephens - State Qualifier

Dodd City ran a 3:34 in the preliminary to qualify for finals and then ran a personal best 3:30 in the finals to finish second behind the best time in the state Gordon (3:26), Richland Springs finished 3rd (3:35)
3:30 is currently the third fastest time in the state in Dodd City's classification.
4 x 100 and 4 x 400 relay team
State qualifiers will compete at the University of Texas at Austin next Saturday, May 4 with running events starting at 5:00 p.m.
