Bonham, Texas -- The Dodd City Hornets swept the Ector Eagles, 7-2 and 16-4, in the regional semifinals to advance to the Region II-1A finals where the Hornets will take on the winner of Abbot/Graford with a trip to the state tournament on the line.

In game one, Logan Lackey sat nine batters down on strikes on his way to a seven-inning one-hitter.

Alex Helms and Layton Vaught both went 2-for-3 and Nick Glover drove in two runs in the 7-2 victory.
