Dodd City, Texas -- The Dodd City Hornets hosted the Campbell Indians on Friday in a pivotal game between a pair of 4-0 teams perched atop District 23-1A.

The score was tied 4-4 early, but three-point shots by Jaden Mahar and Ethan Barnard helped Dodd City double up on Campbell, 12-6, as the first quarter ended.

Mahar drove inside for a lay-up and Braden Burney hit a baseline jump shot. Ashton Balvin hit a basket and a free throw as the Hornets went on a 20-0 run to take control with a 32-6 lead.

Dodd City led 36-10 at the half and went on to treat the homecoming crowd to a 63-21 victory.
