ROUND ROCK -- Senior Lindsey Mauppin finished 11th individually to lead Dodd City to 10th place as a team on Nov. 5 at the Class 1A State girls' cross country meet at Old Settler's Park.

Mauppin, a four-time State cross country competitor, ended her final high school cross country race in 12:59.

Meanwhile, Ector freshman Lydia Essary placed 30th in 13:32.2 and Dodd City senior Autumn Brown finished 39th in 13:39.4 in the 1A girls' race amongst the field of 149 girls.

Earlier on Nov. 5, Leonard sophomore Parker Evans finished 39th in 12:58.9 in the 3A State girls' race which included 149.

Additionally, Dodd City junior Jaden Mahar placed 40th on Nov. 5 in 18:39 in the 1A State boys' race which included 146 competitors.

Other Dodd City runners who completed in the 1A State girls' race included these and their finishes: junior Hannah Burney, 103rd, 15:01.4; junior Addyson Chaney, 106th, 15:06.7; freshman Breezy Jenkins, 113th, 15:22.6; freshman Addison Weeks, 114th, 15:22.8; and freshman Riley Murray, 146th, 16:33.7.

It equated the first State cross country advances for the Dodd City girls other than Mauppin, Ector's Essary, Leonard's Evans' and Dodd City's Mahar.
