Sixth-ranked Dodd City (27-11) will play Saint Jo (31-9) on Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. at S&S Consolidated High School in a Region III-1A volleyball quarterfinal.
The winner will advance to the Region III-1A Tournament semifinals on Friday at Billingsley Field House in Fort Worth.
It equates Dodd City's second regional quarterfinal advance in the last three seasons.
The previous three-deep trip came in 2020, en route to reaching the Region II-1A final, with the Lady Hornets defeating Saint Jo in the regional semifinals, 22-25, 25-18, 25-17, 25-15, at Callisburg High School.
On Thursday, Dodd City defeated Prairie Valley, 25-14, 25-17, 25-15, in the area round, also at Callisburg High School.
Dodd City finished undefeated in 19-1A to advance to the postseason as a district champion and had a bi-district bye. It equates Dodd City's 28th postseason in the sport in the last 33 years.
Saint Jo, the undefeated 17-A champion, defeated Sulphur Bluff, 22-25, 25-15, 19-25, 25-17, 15-6, at Sherman High School, also on Thursday in area-round play, after a bi-district bye.
