No. 3 Huckabay Lady Indians 39, Dodd City 35

Mansfield, Texas -- Despite a valiant effort by the Dodd City Lady Hornets, The No.-3 ranked Huckabay Lady Indians managed to slip by a determined Dodd City team, 39-35, in the Region III-1A semifinals.

The Lady Hornets led 16-9 after the first quarter and 22-18 at the half, but a 12-4 run by Huckabay in the third period doomed the Lady Hornets.

Both teams scored nine points in the fourth quarter to give Huckabay a four-point victory.

Addyson Chaney and Lindsey Mauppin both put up eight points to lead the Lady Hornets on offense.

Ali Preas and Kylee Graves scored seven apiece, Tori Dotson tossed in five points and Natally Medina had two points.
