My name is Michael Huxen and I am entering my second year as the JH/HS Principal and Athletic Director at DCISD. I graduated from Stephenville High School in 2004. I then attended Tarleton State University where I received my Bachelor of Science in 2009 and my Master of Education in 2011. In 2018 I completed my principal certification from Lamar University.

Prior to coming to Dodd City ISD I spent the past 12 years coaching girls basketball both at the collegiate and high school level. During that time I also taught 8^th grade math and 6^th/8^th grade social studies.

When I am not working I enjoy spending my free time with my wife (Loren) and son (Carter). I also enjoy golfing, cooking, and watching sports! 

I have been married to my wife Loren since October 2016. We have one son named Carter. We also have two dogs named Dex and Koe.
