Pilot Point, Texas -- The Dodd City Lady Hornets are just one win away from the regional tournament after a three-set win over Forestburg in an area round match played Thursday night in Pilot Point.

Dodd City posted wins of 25-20, 25-17 and 25-23 to advance deeper into the playoffs.

Kadyn McCarley led the attack with 10 kills, but all the Lady Hornet hitters showed up.

Taegan Williams, Hannah Burney and Addison Weeks all finished with five kills apiece, Addyson Chaney knocked down four kills and Breezy Jenkins put down a pair of kills.

Williams had two blocks to lead the defense.

The Lady Hornets (30-10) will take on old nemesis Saint Jo in the Region III-1A quarterfinals.
