Dodd City Lady Hornets down Savoy, 3-1

Dodd City, Texas -- The Dodd City Lady Hornets moved to 3-0 in district and 28-9 on the year with a four-set win over the Savoy Lady Cardinals.

Dodd City cruised to a 25-10 win in the first set, but Savoy came to play and it was the Lady Cardinals with a 25-22 victory in the second set.

Dodd City finished strong to take the final two sets, 25-11 and 25-8.

Hannah Burney led the Lady Hornets attack with 11 kills. Kadyn McCarley knocked down nine kills to go along with seven aces. Addison Weeks slammed down seven kills and also slipped seven aces through the defense.

Taegan Williams and Addyson Chaney both had three kills, and Breezy Jenkins contributed a pair of kills.

Emma Garner got under three digs.

The Lady Hornets will travel to Ector on Tuesday, October 24 as district competition continues.
